The issue of faith and unbelief of modern world in Martin McDonagh’s creative evolution

  • D.A. Kirichenko

Abstract

The article provides examples of Christian themes, ideas, motifs and images in the plays by Martin McDonagh: “The Cripple of Inishmaan”, “The Lonesome West” and “The Pillowman”. An attempt was made to consider the facts of the life of Ireland of the 1990s, which were further reflected and evaluated in the plays of the playwright.
